That’s a good point. However, just for the record, my trading strategy is based on technical analysis, rather than fundamental or news events.

This is because the reaction to any news events of fundamental situations will always be reflected in the price and volume. Therefore, the technicals tell me everything I need to know.

Years ago, I used to trade in anticipation of key news events, but I soon learned it was a fruitless effort because the market usually went the opposite direction that one might have expected. I later learned this is also because expectations are usually already built into price.
